After a long and healthy life, died on Sunday May 11, 2008 at the Pembroke Regional Hospital, after a short illness. Brome, born June 16, 1914, formally of Shawville, Quebec and Gananoque Ontario, and living out his last few years with his daughter in Pembroke. Survived by his daughter Lorraine Fokes (Pembroke), Grandchildren Vanessa and Steven Robinson (Ottawa) his sister Lorraine Guyatt (Dundas) and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Eleanor O'Brien, his son Lawrence, his brothers Harold and Dean and his parents Reverend Alexander and Edna Fokes. At Bromes request, there is no visitation or Memorial Service. Private interment service at a later date in the St. John's Cemetery, Gananoque, Ontario.
