Mrs. Ira Hayes Taken by Death.
Mrs. Lissie Hayes, 73, of 1112 S. 16th St, Centerville, passed away Friday, Jan. 25, at 6:15 am after a long illness of several years duration.
The deceased was born near Tuscola, Ill., and moved to Centerville at the age of 10, residing here the remaining years of her life.
The survivors are her husband, Ira Hayes; one daughter, Mrs. Earl Holthaus, Ames; one step daughter, Mrs. Donald Smith, Centerville; and one sister, Mrs. F.M.Brown, Centerville; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The body is at the Miller Wehrle funeral home; Funeral services for Mrs. Ira Hayes, 73, who died Friday morning will be held at Miller-Wehrle funeral home at 2 pm Tuesday with Rev. Frederick J. Ackman in charge. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
