Mr. Ramsey was a member of the Huntingdon Presbyterian Church. A graduate of Huntingdon High School with the Class of 1946, he also attended the Huntingdon Business School. For 35 years, he was employed by the A&P Grocery Store in Huntingdon and later by Groves Office Supply, retiring in 1998. He was a life member of the Huntingdon Hook and Ladder Fire Company, Pennsylvania Fire Police and Standing Stone Post No. 1754. VFW. He also bowled with the Wednesday night leagues at the Holiday Howl, Huntingdon. He was an avid Lionel model railroader.
During the Korean Conflict, he served in the U.S. Army with the rank of private first class, stationed in Germany with Patton's Second Armored Division Band.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 26, at 2 p.m., at the Robert E. Peters Funeral Home, Huntingdon, with the Rev. Leslie R. F. Papp officiating. Interment will be made in the Huntingdon Memorial Gardens, Huntingdon, RD. 1.
