A funeral service for Mrs. Virginia Tyree, 94, of Oxford, will be on Friday, November 29, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Dr. Jerry Cobb will be officiating the service. The family will receive friends on the same day from 12:00 pm until the time of the service.
Mrs. Tyree passed away on November 25, 2019 at her home.
She is survived by five of her children; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren, and a host of extended family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Tyree; son, Wayne Tyree; parents, Frank and Minnie Champion; two brothers and four sisters.
Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be great grandsons.
Mrs. Tyree was a wonderful mother who loved her family dearly. She was a lifetime member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Mrs. Tyree was a devout Christian who loved serving her Lord.
She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
