JAMES HAROLD BURDETT SR., 71, of Lake Wales died Monday at home under the care of Good Shepherd Hospice. A native of Davenport, he moved to Lake Wales from Dover in 1968. He was a conductor for CSX Railroad and a Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife Dorothy; a son, James H. Jr. of Plant City; three daughters, Joyce Johnson of Brandon, Shirley of Valrico and Karen Harvey of Lithia; a sister, Mae Croft of Tampa; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Hopewell Funeral Home, Plant City.
