He was a retired Army veteran of 34 years and former instructor for 20 years at Arkansas State University Tech.
He was a Mason and of the Baptist belief.
Survivors include a son, Dennis Clayton (Judy) of Cherry Valley; daughter, Sandra Coady (Jerry) of Forest, Va.; sister, Catherine Walker of Blue Springs, Miss.; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in the funeral home with burial following in Marked Tree Cemetery.
