Preceded in death by wife, Annie Bridget Walsh Forte; parents, Victor and Theresa Forte, Sr.; son-in-law, Doug Shelton; daughter-in-law, Bettye Shelton Forte; brothers, Anthony "Tony" Forte, Francis "Buck" Forte, Charlie Forte, Edward Forte; sisters, Carol Forte McGrath and Rita Forte Johnson. Survived by children, Theresa Forte Shelton, Victor Thomas (Marta) Forte III, Carolyn Forte (John) Casey, Robert E. (Linda) Forte, Will (Debra) Forte, Helen Forte Smith; 22 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; brothers, Fritz (Catherine) Forte and Jim Forte; numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Forte was a life long leader and communicant of St. Ann Catholic Church, graduated from the first class of St. Ann School and Father Ryan, Class of 1935. He retired from N.E.S. after 40 plus years of service. Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2009 at St. Ann Catholic Church, Rev. Philip Breen celebrant. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Active Pallbearers: grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers N.E.S. retirees. Visitation 2-8 p.m. Friday, November 27, 2009 at St. Ann Parish Hall.
