Plainville -- Patrick L. McMullen, 52, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001, near Plainville as a result of a traffic accident. He was born Nov. 29, 1949, in Ellis County, to James E. and Lydia (Lang) McMullen.

He graduated from Plainville High School in 1968. He was a lifetime resident of Plainville. He was a farmer and owner of Pat's Welding Service.

He married Karen Dinges on April 21, 1979, in Plainville.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Carson and Conner, both of the home; his mother, Plainville; and a brother, David, Courtland.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Plainville, with Father Joseph Popelka officiating; burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Plainville. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel, Plainville. A Ladies Guild rosary will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel; there will be a parish vigil service at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Memorials are suggested to the Patrick L. McMullen Memorial Fund and can be sent in care of the chapel.
