Melvin C. "Granny" Beavers, 88, of Marion , died April 30, 2003 at Crittenden Hospital. She was a member of Mexico Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Blackburn and Mary Feagan, both of Fredonia; four sons, Bill Beavers of Mt. Dora, Fla., and Ken Beavers, Jerry Beavers, and Donald Beavers, all of Marion; a sister, Eva Mae Owen of Centralia, Ill.; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Beavers; two daughters, Grace Baird, and an infant, Catherine Beavers; two brothers, and her parents, Perce and Etta Beavers.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Archie Brock and Rev. Rodney Groff officiating. Burial will be in Mexico Cemetery.
