Estella Famous wife of John Famous died on Saturday of complication of diseases at the home of Mr. John King near Long Green. Mrs. Famous was visiting at the King home when she broke down after having been in feeble health for several years. The deceased was a daughter of the late J. Calvin Gilbert and besides her husband is survived by her mother, two daughters and one son. One sister Mrs. William Burkins, of Cooptown and two brothers, Oscar, of Aberdeen, and Reese Gilbert, of Baltimore, also survive her. The funeral was held from the home of Mrs. Burkins on Monday at 12:30 P.M., services and interment being at Cooptown M.E. Church, Rev. Mr. Meeks, assisted by Rev. Pierpoint officiated. The pallbearers were: Messrs. Walter and Robert Spencer, William Whiteford, Elmer Pennington and Dr. Charles S. Warner.
