Letha Allene Evans, 92, of Ash, NC died Saturday, May 5, 2012 at her home.
Mrs. Evans was born December 2, 1919 in Brunswick County, NC to the late William Murchinson "Murdic" and Lula Maude Grissett Andrews. She was a member of New Britton Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Troy O'Bryan Evans; a sister Cassie Harbolt; and a brother Purvis Andrews.
Surviving are her two sons Wayne Evans, wife Margaret, of Delco, NC and Bob Evans, wife Barbara, of Ash, NC; a brother Homer Andrews of Shallotte, NC; three grandchildren Breanne Evans, Rickey Inman, and Rebecca Day; three great grandchildren Kristian Nicole Ellen, Watson Day, and Jackson Day; three great-great grandchildren Regean, Dakota, and Victoria; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the New Britton Baptist Church by the Reverend Sterling Sarvis and the Reverend Steven Nobles. Burial will follow in the Bill Inman Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Casketbearers will be Tommy Mintz, Dennis Hooks, David Ellen, Greg Inman, David Babson, and Allen Andrews.
