Died at Home In Birmingham, On Saturday.
On Saturday morning at 3 o'clock, David Warren Stewart, of Birmingham, died at his home of arterio sclerosis, from which he had suffered for some time. Deceased was a native of Birmingham, being born on May 10, 1854, the son of the late Alex and Elizabeth Stewart. He lived in the town all his life, working for some years as a quarryman, and later filled the combined offices of tax collector, policeman, health officer and village treasurer.
He was twice married. First, with Miss Elizabeth Waite, and after her death was married to Mrs. Peter Tao* who survives with these children: Born to his first wife: Harrison Stewart, of Altoona; Mrs. J.W. Sheppard, of Birmingham; Mrs. J.W. Shamp, of East Altoona; Mrs. Chalmers Smith of Altoona, and Mrs. Earnest Milton, of Port Matilda. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church of Birmingham.
Funeral services were held in the Methodist church at Birmingham at 2:30 this afternoon, in charge of Rev. H.H. Sherman. Interment in the Presbyterian cemetery.
