Asa Johnson (sic), 80-year-old Atkinson native whose home was in Valentine, died December 3 at the Sandhills General Hospital in Valentine.
Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Atkinson, following funeral services Dec. 6 at the Watt's Funeral Home, Valentine, with the Rev. Cecil Green, officiating.
He was united in marriage to Nora Litz of Bassett, and is survived by a son, Francis of St. Louis, Mo., two daughters, Betty Meis and Helen Kelly of Anaheim, Calif.
Other survivors include a brother, Gabe Johnston, Twin Falls, Idaho; five sisters, Maude Johnston of Valentine; Mina Blinn of Norfolk, Frances Wilson of Stuart; Mary Hewett of Rushvill (sic); and Adah Johnston also of Rushville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was born April 7, 1889, in Atkinson.
