He is survived by his wife, Thelma Duet Lafont; three daughters, Nadine Pregeant and husband, Clyde Jr., Laverna Alford and husband, Gerhort, and Tanya Chiasson and husband, Eric; two brothers, Theard Lafont Jr. and wife, Delores, and Darwin Lafont and Geraldine; six grandchildren, Bryan Pregeant and wife, Marie, and Brad Pregeant and wife, Rockelle, Joshua Ledet, Lauren Gardner and husband, Paul, Erica Chiasson, and Gerhort M. Alford; and four great-grandchildren, Breanne, Brad Jr., Brock and Brook Pregeant.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theard Sr. and Emelie Brunet Lafont; two grandsons, Justin and Johnathon Alford; four brothers, Euclid "Ken" Lafont, infant brothers, Duffy, George and Lawrence; and one sister, Elrita Smith.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. He was retired from Exxon USA and a member of St. Pious the X Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.
