Daughter of John W. and Elizabeth (Gibbany) Beck. Second wife of Tolbert Casper Henton, married January 22, 1871.

They were the parents of eleven children, born in 18 years:
Pauline Frances "Fannie" Henton, George Nicholson Henton, Hallie Allen Henton, James L. Henton, Henry Marion Henton, Charles Lemuel Henton, John William Henton, Martha E. Henton, Edward Charles Henton, Catherine Ella Henton and Ernest Howard Henton.

Mary died of broncho pneumonia at home, aged 77y 6m 20d. She was buried in Henton Cemetery next to her husband.

Mrs. T. C. Henton died last Saturday at the house of her son, George N. Henton, in Kansas City. She had been an invalid for years, but a few days prior to her death had taken pneumonia, to which she quickly succumbed.

Mrs. Henton was 77 years, 6 months and 21 days old. Her maiden name was Mary Hannah Beck, she being born in Kentucky on Sept. 13, 1848. Her father, John Beck, died in Kentucky, and her mother with seven children, moved from Kentucky and settled in the northeast part of Gentry county, Missouri, where Mrs. Henton grew to womanhood.

On Jan. 22, 1871, she was married to Tolbert C. Henton, and eleven children were born to them. One son, Henry, died Feb. 10, 1910, and her husband died Nov. 15, 1922. She leaves six sons and four daughters--- Mrs. Fannie Rainey, Mrs. Hallie Jones, James, Charles, Will, Ed and Ernest Henton, all of Albany; Mrs. Mattie Grace of Lebanon, Mo.; and George N. and Miss Katie Henton of Kansas City. Also one step-daughter, Mrs. Rebecca Funk, of New Hampton, Mo. Miss Katie, who had tenderly cared for her mother through her long sickness, is herself sick in Kansas City, and was unable to attend the funeral of her mother.

The remains were brough to Albany on the noon train over the Burlington Sunday, and were taken to the Dorsey Church, where the funeral was preached by Rev. Bridenthal at 2 o'clock. Burial was in the Henton cemetery.

Early in life the deceased had united with the Christian Church, and she lived the profession then made, being known as a true Christian woman, a faithful wife and mother and a kindly neighbor and friend.
