"Hello, The John Branner Henton that you have attached as the son of Thomas Henton and Christina Branner is their grandchild, who is the son of their son Cassius. Thomas and Christina did have a son John B. Henton who was born in 1786 in Shenendoah County, Virginia. He married Mary "Polly" Martin on the 30th of July, 1815 in Woodford County, Ketucky. The family had several children and lived in Shelby and then Davies County, Kentucky. In the 1850 cenus they are living in Henderson County. I don't have the names of all their children. I do have four of them including my 2nd Great Grandmother, Mary Catherine, who was born in October, 1829 in Davies County. I have not been able to find John and Polly in the 1860 census. I have a death date for John of 20th of July, 1869 if I recall in Davies County. I got this date from a cousin whose mother had done research many years ago. They never could find Polly. I did find her in the 1870 cenus living with her daughter, Julia Wade, in Albion, Edwards County, Illinois. She was 77 years old and I am assuming she died in Illinois, but I couldn't find a death record for her so I don't know for certain. Also, the name is spelled Hinton on the census in 1870, but her marriage record has Henton, and later census records has both too. Mary Catherine spelled it Hinton. She is buried in Woods County, Oklahoma and married Jacob Israel Baker in Muhlenburg County. I would love to find where John and Polly are buried. John's middle initial is B. and I don't know if it stands for Branner which seems likely. Some other's had Boone, so I don't know. If anyone knows about John and Polly please get in touch with me, but the John Henton # 51905973 needs to be removed as the son of Thomas and Christina."
