Martha, I did more research and found that John E and Alpha were indeed the biological parents of Mozelle, so your information was not wrong after all. However, it appears John E. died March 29, 1902 and Alpha died April 26, 1902. At that time Mozelle, who was born January of 1902 was taken in by Chris and Lorena. The other children went to Buckner's Orphans home as had John's children by Arabella, when she passed away. I wonder what took the parents in quick succession?
