Alvina (Hessler) Slater - Born in Alma, WI. Moved to Montana in 1910 to make her home with her sister, Mrs. Dave McCann south of Wibaux, MT. Married Archie Slater in 1911. Archie & Alvina farmed at Carlyle, MT and Ollie, MT before moving to Portland in 1960. They made their home with their daughter, Jewell. Alvina passed away in Portland Mar 6, 1965 and was interred in Skyline Memorial Gardens. Survivors were two daughters, Eleanor Johrig/Jahrig of CO, and Jewell Slater of Portland and two grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. George Johnstone of Payallup, WA also survives.
