Archie F. Slater - Born at Princeton, Greenbush Twp., Mille Lacs Co., MN to Charles E. and Eleanor (Henry) Slater. He was the oldest of 9 children (5 boys, 4 girls). The Slaters moved to Montana in ca 1906 when Archie was 22. He homesteaded northeast of Carlyle, MT. He married Alvina Hessler in 1911 and they lived at Carlyle and Ollie, MT before moving to Portland ca 1960 to live with their daughter, Jewell Slater. He passed away Oct. 25, 1963. Survivors were his wife of 53 years, daughter Eleanor Johrig/Jahrig, CO and Jewell of Portland. Burial was Monday, Oct 25, 1963
