It is with deepest regrets that our family announces the sudden passing of our father, grandfather, and husband George "Ron" Austin age 68 years of Tillsonburg, on January 22, 2009 in Kawaguach, Saitama, Japan while visiting family. Beloved husband and best friend to his loving wife Gail Austin (nee Davis) for 40 years. dear father of Marc (Isabel) Austin of Sarnia; Sue (Mark) Hemmings of Saint John, New Brunswick; Jeff (Hiroka) Austin of Hatagaya, Japan. Grandpa Ron is survived by the apples of his eye, grandchildren he doted on, and tooi enormous joy being in their company Liam, Tristan, Lucian Austin; Aren, Adrienne Hemmings, and Juno Austin. Ron is also survived by his siblings Jim and the late Helga Austin of Dutton; Jack Austin of Aylmer; Jo and the late Gerry Bardawill of St. Thomas; Bill (Beeky) Austin of Woodstock; Joan (Ken) Long of Burlington; the late Margaret (Maurice) Martin of St. Thomas. Ron is also survived by his many neices and nephews. Ron was a long time member of North Broadway Baptist Church. Ron was employed at his last job and his most loved job at Tillsonburg's A&P store. The family will receive friends, family, and neighbors at Ostrander's Funeral Home 43 Bidwell St. Tillsonburg (519)842-5221 on Tuesday, Feb 3, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and again at North Broadway Baptist Church, Tillsonburg on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 from 12 noon until service time at 1 p.m. Pastor Bill Finch officiating. Creamation has taken place. Private family inurnment will take place in Tillsonburg Cemetery at a later date.
