Addie Luella Evert was born August 8, 1896, to Peter and Mary Nelson Thompson,
east of Norway, and died at the Republic County Hospital in Belleville, May 9,1988,
at the age of 91 years, nine months and one day. She was baptised as an infant, and
confirmed in Our Saviour Lutheran Church of Norway, Kansas.
August 8, 1917, she was united in marriage to Elmer Evert, and to this union five children were bom. They established their home south of Republic, until May
1935 when their home was destroyed by a tornado. They moved to Republic, and
then Courtland, where they retired in 1975.
On August 8,1987 the couple celebrated their 70th anniversary.
