Alfred B. "Fred" Castellani, Sr., 71 of Hartford, beloved husband of Dorothy (Pipjunge) Castellani died Tuesday, (March 20, 2001) at Hartford Hospital. Born in North Haven, he lived in Hartford most of his life. He was an army veteran at the time of the Korean Conflict. He retired from United Tool & Die Co. Besides his wife, Mr. Castellani leaves two sons and daughters-in-law, Alfred B. Castellani, Jr. and his wife, Linda of New Britain, Richard J. Castellani and his wife, Lori of Newington; his brother and sister-in-law, Dino and Patricia Castellani of Newington; his four loving grandchildren, Alfred B. III, Sarah, Richard J., Jr. and Ashley. He also leaves a brother-in-law; and six sisters-in-law, all in Virginia. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. The Funeral procession will be Friday, 9 a.m. from Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. in St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, Hartford. Burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling Hours will be Thursday, 5-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. "Love ya Honey"
