Russell R. Partridge
Russell R. Partridge, 76, of Newton died Monday (Aug. 2, 1999) at Newton Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 10, 1923, in Newton to Sidney Lee and Hazel Ernestine (Ruick) Partridge. He married Marie Brenneman April 3, 1943, in Newton. She survives.
He was a lifetime Newton resident. He had been co-owner of Partridge Auto Supply since 1953. He also worked for Santa Fe Railroad, retiring in 1971.
He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Newton.
Other survivors include: two sons, Bob Partridge and Wayne Partridge, both of Newton; one daughter, Charlene O'Conner of Moore, Okla.; three brothers, Paul Partridge of Newton, Bill Partridge of Udall and Joe Partridge Carrollton, Texas; three sisters, Mary Ann Reece of McGregor, Texas, Bonnie Wance of Burns and Susan Higgins of Inman; step-mother, Elizabeth Partridge of Newton; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Henry Partridge, Warren Partridge, Jack Partridge and Don Partridge; and one sister, Virginia Cook.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Church of the Nazarene in Newton with Pastors Larry Morgan and Jerroll Martins officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
Memorials have been established with First Church of the Nazarene in care of the funeral home.
