Isaiah Warren III was born ca. 1798 in Sampson Co., N. C., the son of Blake Warren, and grandson of Isaiah Warren, Sr., who was a soldier of the Revolution. Isaiah Sr.'s father, Richard, and Isaiah's brother Elijah, were also soldiers of the Revolution. Isaiah Sr.'s youngest son was named Isaiah, Jr., consequently, Isaiah, the son of Blake, we will designate as Isaiah III.
Isaiah III, and his wife, Mary Jane Westbrook Warren, with their five children moved to Fayette Co., Ga. (not far from Atlanta) in 1833. The first year in Fayette Co. their 6th child was born. The children were, Abraham, b. 27 Jan. 1826; William B., b. 1828; Lovett, b. 10 April 1829; Moses Maron, b. 14 Sept. 1830; Nancy, b. 1 Dec. 1832; Edna (Edney) C., b. 26 Nov. 1833.
Isaiah and Mary Jane died from typhoid in 1834 within a few weeks of each other. They were buried in the old Peters Cemetery at Fairburn, Fayette Co., Georgia. Members of the Westbrook family who attended the funeral took the six children to rear.
