Jack R. Peterson, age 82 of L'Anse, Michigan, formerly of Nunica, MI, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2003 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 15, 1920 in Nunica, son of the late John Peterson and Susan (Easterly) Peterson. Jack was in the US Navy and was a member of the American Legion Post 144. He owned Swedes Bar downtown L'Anse for more than 25 years. Jack Peterson was survived by his brothers, Ward (Marion) Peterson of Pennsylvania, Donald (Cora) Peterson of Coopersville, and 10 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister Doris Cox.
