Johanna Marie Jorgensen was born 1834 in Sanderum, Odense, Denmark.

Her father Jorgen Pedersen 1803-1874 and mother Ane Jacobsen 1799-? were married in 1833 in Sanderum Odense, Denmark.

Johanna Marie Jorgensen married Henrick Peter Jensen Dec 17, 1854. She immigrated to the USA in abt 1874

Johanna and Henrick had about 13 children most of whom were born in Denmark except their last 2 children; Katrina Marie and Johanne Petree Jensen who were born in Utah.


Johanna suffered a stroke in about 1903 and was paralyzed. Her daughter Marie and her husband James cared for her until her death in 1906.

Johanna and Peter life together is in Peter notes: After Johanna husband Peter died in 1903 soon after she suffered a stroke and was completely paralized. Her daughter Marie helped to take care of her gently and kindly she spent with her. Johanna was helpless and needed the attention of a tiny baby which was given very cheerfully by Marie and James. Johanna Marie died in 1906 when she was 72 years. She died 3 years after her husband Peter. Peter died in 1903 when he was 75 years.
