Eldora Windley Reynolds -

Eldora Windley Reynolds, 70, passed away April 13, 2000, in Portland. She was born June 22, 1929 in Montpelier to Vernest F. Windley and Emma Hansen Windley. She married Robert Reynolds in 1966.

She lived in Montpelier until 1960 when she moved to Boise. She then moved to Denver shortly thereafter, beginning a lifetime career with Montgomery Ward. While in Denver, she met her husband. Together they moved to Portland in 1966. She lived a very happy and full life in Portland, becoming a beloved friend to many in her community. She loved gardening and had quite a beautiful garden that was enjoyed by the entire neighborhood.

She was the proud descendants of two Bear Lake pioneer families, the Windleys and the Hansens. Her great-grandfather, John Windley and his family, were on of the first families to settle in St. Charles. Her maternal grandparents were Charles A. and Emma Vilate Hansen of Garden City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a brother, Vernest Eugene Windley.

She is survived by her brother, Thomas G. Windley of Salt Lake City, one niece, Marsha Windley Curtis of Boise, two nephews, Michael E. Windley of Tacoma and Jerry T. Windley of San Francisco, four uncles, Russell Hansen of Garden City, Jack Hansen of Paris and LaVarr Hansen and LeRoy Hansen, both of Ogden.

A small memorial service was held April 18. Internment was in Portland.
