Mrs. E. W. McCoy Rites Set Tuesday (date of paper 1955 not what is on headstone per Faye Nations McCardle)
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Pearl Chapel Methodist church for Mrs. E. W. McCoy, 78, who died early Monday. She died at the residence of her son Elouis J. McCoy, 3451 Midlawn Street, following a brief illness.
Mrs. McCoy was a life-long resident of Hinds county and a member of the Pearl Chapel Methodist church.
Rev. C. E. Lewis will conduct the funeral service with burial in the Pearson cemetery with Baldwin Funeral home in charge.
Survivors are one son, Louis J. McCoy and one brother, John J. Eley, both of Jackson; one sister, Mrs. Mary Martin, Utica. Three grandchildren also survive.
Nephews of Mrs. McCoy will serve as pallbearers.
