Suggested edit: Ira Ames, died yesterday morning at the age of 57. He had been sick several weeks, confined to his bed with little or no hope of recovery, and his demise was hourly expected. Mr. Ames was an old soldier and member of the G.A.R. post here. The funeral takes place today.
