John V. Barry of Hartford, died Sunday, (October 1, 2000) in South Carolina. He was born in Hartford, son of the late John and Mabel (Wells) Barry. John was a graduate of Bulkeley High School and attended Miami of Ohio University. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Prior to his retirement he was a sales representative for many years. He leaves his three sons, Michael Barry of Mississippi, Patrick Barry of South Carolina, Terrance Barry and his wife, Linda of Lakeville; two grandchildren; four brothers, William Barry of West Hartford, Robert Barry of So. Orleans, MA, Frank Barry of Hartford, Raymond Barry of Newington; two sisters, Margaret Barry of Rockville, Mary Barry of Lyme; and several nieces and nephews.
