Cecil L. Boyd, age 85, passed away peacefully April 28, 2010 after a short battle with kidney cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was born october 15, 1924 in Yuma, CO the second child of Charles and Aphrodite Boyd. At six months of age his family relocated to the Mission Valley in Montana. Cecil grew up and attended school in Ronan, MT.

Our father was a member of the greatest generation. He served in the Army for five years during World War II and served in the 3rd Army 89th Division in Europe and in the Austrian Occupation and Military Government. While stationed in Gmunden, Austria he met his wife, Ingeborg Pasnocht, in 1945. The married July 9, 1947 in Vorchdorf, Austria. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed pheasant and chukar hunting with his faithful Gordon Setter dogs (Choice and Mac). Cecil loved to fish and couldn't wait for his backpacking trips to lake Victoria.
