Harold A. Stanton of Shehawken, PA who would have observed his 80th birthday on Tuesday of this week died a t 6:50 a. m., Friday, August 31, 1973 in the Barnes Kasson Hospital in Susquehanna, Pa., where he had been a surgical patient. A native of Shehawken, Pa., Mr. Stanton was born on September 4,1893 a son of the late Oscar and Frances (Reynolds) Stanton. He resided in New Jersey for more than 40 years and was a retired Division Manager of the Atlantic City Electric Corporation. On May 19, 1962 Mr Stanton was married Hazel Swan who survives. Also surviving are a son Harold Stanton, Jr. of Mariton, NJ, one daughter, Mrs Dorothy Band of Philadelphia, a brother, Leo Stanton of St. Petersburg, FL and a sister, Mrs Lulu Doyle of Hancock, NY. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews including Mrs. Helen Schoonmaker of East Front Street, Hancock. His body reposed a t the Henderson Biedekapp Funeral Chapel where services were held Sunday, September 2, at 2 p. m. The Rev. Jonathan W. King, pastor of the United Methodist Church, Shehawken, Pa., was the officiating clergyman assisted by the Rev. Donald Bartholomay, pastor of the United Methodist Church.in Sidney. Burial was in the Shehawken Cemetery, RD 1, Starrucca, Pa. Members of the Hancock Rotary Club attended the services in a body and a Masonic Ritualistic service was conducted.
