Wayne A Dix, 80, 18 Spruce St Montrose, Pa , died Friday, May 4, 1982, in Medical Arts Hospital where he was taken in the Montrose Minute Man ambulance after suffering a heart attack at his home. He was a resident of Montrose the past six years. Born in Shehawken, Wayne County, son of the late Alfred and Julia Stanton Dix, he was employed by the Delaware & Hudson Railroad in Scranton and Carbondale for 53 years as a hosteler. Surviving are his widow, Cora Everitt Dix; a son, Raymond, Milford, Conn.; a brother, LaFord Dix, Erkwood, N. Y.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. William Lowry and Mrs. Franz Fernely, both of Montrose, RD 2; a stepson, Edward Wells Everitt, Montrose, RD; a grandson, eight step grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren. The funeral was held Monday from a funeral home at 74 Church St., Montrose, with services at 1:30 p.m. Interment, Shehawken, Pa Cemetery.
