Donald James Petro, 57, of Palmdale, Calif., formerly of Decatur, died Monday (Aug. 17, 1992) in his home.
Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown.
Mr. Petro was born in Decatur on Feb. 3, 1935, son of Charles A. and C. Mildred Parnell Petro. Before moving to California in 1964, he had worked at the Colonial Laundromat, both on East Wood St. and North Oakland Ave., owned by Archie Foster and the late Robert Hobbs. At the time of his death he was a supervisor of Custodial Services Department Facilities Engineering at Lockheed Corp. in Palmdale where he had worked for the last 13 1/2 years.
He leaves behind the endless number of loving family and friends who will miss him deeply.
Surviving are his wife, Joyce; sons, Charles A. "Chuck" and Tim L., both of Decatur; Terry L. of Phoenix, Ariz; daughter, Tammy J. of Phoenix; sisters, Mrs. Richard (Lois) of Stonington; Mrs. Mary Miller of San Jose, Ill.; Mrs. August (Jane) and Mrs. Charlene Dodson, both of Decatur; brothers Charles "Eddie" Petro and Gerald and wife Debbie, all of Decatur; aunt, Alice Owens of Decatur; eight grandchildren.
His parents and one daughter, Tina M. Bramer, proceeded him in death.
