FORREST, La., June 27. — (Special) — C. W. [sic H. W.] Holmes, 55, well known local business man, died suddenly at 8:30 o'clock this morning after an attack of acute indigestion. Funeral plans were incomplete at noon.
Mr. Holmes owned a large plantation and a cotton gin and had resided here for many years.
He is survived by his widow and one daughter, Mrs. Helen Mouser, of Columbia.
