Opal Marie Rindlisbacher Oliver Croft Freeman, 85, of Lindon passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2004.

She was born April 14, 1918 in Riverton, Utah to Leo and Merilda Crane Rindlisbacher. She married Orlin Isaac Oliver on November 16, 1937 in Salt Lake. Their marriage was solemnized one month later in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Orlin passed away in 1974. She married Elmo Craft on August 3, 1978. Elmo passed away in December of 2000. She married Vern Freeman on December 28, 2001 in the Jordan River Temple.

Opal grew up on the family farm in Riverton and graduated from Jordan High School. In 1942, she and Orlin moved to Fairfield, California where they raised their five children.

As a young mother, Opal gathered her children around the piano where her family would sing together, keeping the tradition of her own mother.

She enjoyed quilting and shared the fruits of her talents with her grandchildren. Opal was an avid genealogists and compiled personalized books for her children and grandchildren.

She was an active member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in many callings during her lifetime. Out of all of her callings, she especially enjoyed serving in the Primary. She and Orlin served many years as stake missionaries in Fairfield and Vacaville, California. They were instrumental in establishing the first branch of the church in Fairfield.

She is survived by her husband Vern of Lindon; children: Richard (Clara) Oliver, Spanish Fork; Frederic (Olivia) Oliver, Orem; Charlotte (David) Dyreng, North Las Vegas, NV; Robert (Nancy) Oliver, Ephraim; and Julie (Charles) Hansen, Napa, CA; two stepchildren: Ronald Oliver and Salli Cowley;

24 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren; brother, JR Rindlisbach, South Jordan. Her sister, Leone Okeson, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Thurs., March 11th, at 11 a.m. in the Lindon Central Stake Center, 55 E. 600 N., Lindon (just west of the Lindon Cemetery) where friends may call from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Manti Cemetery, 3:00 p.m.
