Claude C. Gjermundson (Germundson) was born 28 Oct 1888 in Wisconsin. He was the son of Gjermund "William" Germundson (1862-1941) and Myrtle May Curtis (1865-1961). After enlisting as a Private in the US Army during WWI, and returning from the war, he met and married Martha Myrtle Poppy. His wife had two children from a previous marriage and had two more children with Claude. They lived out their lives in the Oshkosh, Winnebago, Wisconsin area. They are buried side by side at Boyd Cemetery.
