Enlisted on Oct 2, 1861 at Camp Reeves, Grayson Co., Texas. He was wounded in Dec 1862 at Murfreesboro, TN. On Dec 18, 1863 he was captured at Knoxville, TN and sent to Louisville, KY. On Jan 23, 1864 he was sent to Rock Island, Il. On Oct 7, 1864 he died, at Rock Island prison from lung infection.
