Lois Nelda McLeod also known as "Granny" passed away in Brownwood on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the age of 92. She was born in Brady, Texas on December 22, 1918 to Robert Lee and Iva Pearl (Matthews) Brock. She was the youngest of eleven children and was raised in the McCulloch County area. She married Carl Denman McLeod in Brady on March 24, 1941. Lois had a laughter that was contagious and she never met a stranger. She qualified to be in the Daughters of the Confederate Rose and Daughters of the American Revolution. She loved life, people and life in general. Her family was her pride and joy. She was known to have the world's best hot sauce. She is survived by, two daughters, Teresa L Tucker and husband Bob of Bangs, Texas, and Carla Suzanne Hobbs and husband Jerry of Midland, Texas, one son, Michael David McLeod and wife Debbie of Keller, Texas, survive her. Ten grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Iva Brock, husband, Carl Denman McLeod, daughter, Loyce Annette Gibson, 10 brothers and sisters. Family visitation will be Tuesday, May 31, 2011, from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home and funeral service to be held Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel in Brady.
