Susannah Adkins (51697958)
Suggested edit: From "The Adkins Family of Wayne County, West Virginia, Also Cabell, Lincoln and Boone":
"Elias m CC 25 Nov. 1819 Susanna Fry b. ca. 1801 Montgomery (Giles) Co. Va. d/o George and Kiziah (Mallory) Fry II. There has much discussion as to whether Susanna was the daughter of George II or George III. The "History of Giles Co." by the Giles Co. Historical Society did not list Susanna as a daughter of either one; however, that should not bother researchers as the editors of this publication made many such errors.

Early on I had placed her as a daughter of George III based on the fact that many carried her as the sister of James and David Fry - proven sons of George III.

In 1985, I found a statement in the Lambert Papers by 'Uncle Hiram Adkins' that "Susanna was a first cousin to Parker Milliton Adkins because Parker's mother was a Fry."

Parker's mother was Mary Fry d/o George I and sister to George II.

In 1986, the grave of Susanna's mother, Kiziah, was located by Clinton Mays. He took a picture of the stone and sent it to me. I then knew without doubt that Susanna was the daughter of George II. I had prior to this located a CC land record showing Jessee Adkins selling land to Kiziah Fry clearly proving her in the area. If Susanna was not her daughter why would she have been there. After discussing this with Evelyn Massey, she found an 1830 CC record of this same land and Susanna was listed as a daughter of Kiziah." SOURCE: Adkins, Ronnie, "The Adkins Family of Wayne County, West Virginia, Also Cabell, Lincoln and Boone", Bookcrafters, Virginia: 1990. Page 37.

Then, sometime before 2009, the author revised his understanding and the e-mail exchange he had with another researcher appears here- https://www.genealogy.com/forum/surnames/topics/adkins/6069/

He did not include Keziah, the mother of Susanna, in his book as an Adkins because another researcher had published a book giving her the surname as Mallory which he took at it's word only to find that the other author had zero proof. He then began to believe she was an Adkins and daughter of Parker Adkins (Atkinson) due to her close proximity with the Adkins family and her move to be closer to them when her husband died. This could also be explained that she was moving closer to her daughter so I'm still on the fence about Keziah's maiden name but hopefully some of this will help show Susanna's parents. Their memorials are on FAG and I will also suggest linking to them. Thanks!
