Mary Susan Lewis, 66, of Sunnycrest Manor, formerly of Julien Care Facility, died at 2 a.m. Sunday, April 25, 2010, at Sunnycrest Manor, of natural causes.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 29, at St. Joseph the Worker Church, where friends may call after 9 a.m. Burial will be in the East Dubuque (Ill.) Cemetery. The Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., is in charge of arrangements.

She was born on March 2, 1944, in Dubuque, daughter of U.S. "Cap" and Marie (Grimme) Lewis. She was a lifelong resident of Dubuque.

She was employed in the ARC Workshop and was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church.

Mary Susan loved to listen to music and watch television.

Surviving are five nieces and nephews, Kathleen (Carlos) Carney, of Irvine, Calif., Patti Jo Pender, of Princeton, Iowa, Tony (Sarah) Cozad, of Laguna Niguel, Calif., Nancy (Dan) Breitbach, of East Dubuque, Ill., and Bill (Doreen) Pender, of Bettendorf, Iowa; and grandnieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Nancy Lee Cozad and Pat L. Pender Popple.
