Basilia C. Jimenez, 91, of Life Care Center of North Glendale, passed away on April 22, 2010.

She has left this world to join her beloved son, LCPL Jose Francisco Jimenez, Medal of Honor recipient.

She was born on June 14, 1918 in Sindurio De Morelos in Michoacán de Ocampo, Mexico. She was a kindhearted woman who lived life not for herself, but for all her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Pilar Jimenez; three grandchildren, Azalia Melissa and husband, Timothy Marquez, Alvina Dolores and husband, Damon Winter, and Jorge L. F. Moreno and wife, Alma Leticia; six great-grandchildren, Angel, Venus, Raven Marquez, Phoenix Winter, Alexandria and William Moreno. Natividad Acosta, Josefina Garcia, Bertha, Lupe, Dolores and all her family will miss her immensely.

Viewing will be at Best Funeral Services on 501 E. Dunlap from 5 to 8 p.m. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Mass will be on April 28 at St Simon & Jude at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Glendale Memorial Park at 7844 N. 61st Avenue. Reception will be at 8739 N. 30th Avenue.
