He left school and joined the Army to go to war but WWI ended before he was to be shipped over seas. He married Lillian Ruth Alderson on March 18, 1922 in Crown Point, Lake Co., Indiana. They divorced in 1945. His second marriage was to Kathleen Marie Neiderer. on April 13, 1945 in Indianapolis, Marion Co., Indiana. There was not any children from his second marriage. My brother Don and I miss grandpa and his cocker spaniel dog Lady.
