1880 Census gives the following information: Samuel Morton was age 38, b. KY and a farmer. His father born in MD and his mother Mary A. Morton born in MD. She was age 72 and living with him. Also living there it stated a Jane Morton Young age 34 as a sister to Samuel. It states she was born in KY, and living with here was a Louella age 10 born in AR. Her father, Thomas Young was born in TN. It also shows an Emma age 4, and two doors down it shows an Anabelle Morton age 29, born in KY and her sister Mary E. Morton, 24 born in MD. There was a boarder James Travice, we from Ky and a Henry Beck, 52 a boarder and carpenter in this household.

Some of his family did move to Harrison, AR after his death in 1922 but soon moved back to MT. Home. Samuel and is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery along with wife Anna Lee Wolf and one of their daughters and his sister Belle. He is buried between his wife and daughter in the Oak

Daughter, Ruth Morton married Alexander Hull Walker and died in Izard County, AR, in 1946.
