Lora Minta Tackett Callico Counts, 98, of Elkins, Arkansas died January 16, 2010 at Washington Regional Medical Center at Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born March 2, 1911 at Asher, Arkansas the daughter of Richard and Amanda Worth Tackett. She was a member of the Drakes Creek Church of Christ since October 1930 and retired from Campbell Soup Company with twenty-five years of service. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ralph Callico and Eugene Counts, one daughter, Sylvia Faye Elzey, five brothers, Theron Tackett, Burl Tackett, Claude Tackett, Lloyd Tackett and Warren Tackett.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law: Richard Quinton "Hank" and Wynema Callico of Drakes Creek, Arkansas; two sisters, Alta Glenn of Patrick, Arkansas and Edith Stewart of Elkins, Arkansas; three granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Claudette and Joe Shrum of Huntsville, Arkansas, Kim and Cliff Cordes of Little Elm, Texas and Nancy and Todd Hodgson of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two stepdaughters and families; several nephews and nieces and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, January 20th in the Brashears Funeral Home chapel with Jeff Watson, Minister officiating. Interment will be in the Wesley Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net at Huntsville. Pallbearers will be: Carson Glenn, Gary Glenn, Steven Glenn, Mike Glenn, Allen Tackett and Dave Tackett. Honorary pallbearers will be: Don Stewart, Kenneth Stewart, Richard Stewart and Pete Tackett. Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 P. M. on Tuesday at the funeral home with the family present.
