Irving Christian married Miss Mary Jane Foley on 8 January 1890. To this union, nine children were born, five were living at his death. His wife preceded him in death.

I.C. Christian died at his home near Vineyard on Saturday morning. Services were officiated by Rev. W.W. NeSmith. After coming to Jack County, Mr. Christian was in the dry goods business at Willow point, later he went into farming and ranching. He was an active member of the Baptist Church.

Survived by his children - Miss Della Christian, Mrs. Eva Worthington, Mrs. Stella Beeks, Mrs. Ollie Davis, Mrs. Gertie Horner; one brother - W.R.Christian.
