Wilma M. Elliott, 82
Chester - Wilma M. Elliott, 82, of Virginia Ave., died Saturday April 5, 2003, in the Robert E. Boyce Pavilion at East Liverpool City Hospital after a short illness. She was born Dec. 11, 1920, in Chester, W.Va., a daughter of the late Cecil R. and Ruby B. Allison Swisher. Mrs. Elliott retired from the former Taylor, Smith and Taylor China as an office manager before working in the food department for Hancock County Schools. She was a member of the Chester First Presbyterian Church and graduated from Chester High School. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles O. Elliott on May 24, 1993; a son, Walter J. Elliott on March 21, 2001; and a sister, Martha J. Rice. Survivors include her daughter - in - law, Janice Elliott of Masontown, Pa.; two nieces, Beverly Walker of New Cumberland and Judy Shenton of Chester; a nephew, John Bickerstaff of Charleston, S.C.; and three granddaughters, Emily Elliott, Tracey McCauley and Tricia Carloti. The Rev. Jerry Rose of the church will conduct services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at the Arner Funeral Chapel followed by burial Mill Creek Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday where the family will be present from 1 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the Memorial Fund at the church.
