She was a very family oriented woman who loved to host family gatherings. June loved and took care of her foster son, Floyd Young which gave her much joy. June was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Preceding her death was her husband, Lloyd Alford.
June is survived by her daughters, Kay Shipp and husband Mike of Florence, Texas, Linda Richey and husband Robert of Leander, Texas and Janet Altum and husband Kenneth of Liberty Hill, Texas; sons, Danny Alford and wife Gail of Georgia and Floyd Young of Lampasas, Texas; and 5 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive guests for a visitation Friday, April 23, 2010 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Cook Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Andice Cemetery in Andice, Texas with Reverend Colin McGahey officiating.
In lieu of flower memorial contribution may be made in June's honor to: Andice Cemetery Association, % James Daniels, 2696 CR 255, Georgetown, Texas 78633.
