Daniel Smith was baptized 2 March 1647 in Hingham, Massachusetts; died 20 March 1720 in Eastham, Massachusetts. He married 3 March 1676-77 in Eastham, Mary Young born 28 April 1658 in Eastham, Massachusetts; daughter of John Young and Abigail (Howland) Young. They would have been members of the Congregational Church of Eastham. In 1679 laws were enacted to adjust claims growing out of the King James war, and committees were formed to level taxes on fisheries for schools and churches. Daniel was on such a committee for the Cape Cod region. Daniel had Lot#69 in 1716 Eastham Proprietors list.

3. Abigail Smith 3 (Daniel Smith 2, Ralph Smyth 1) born 30 April 1681/1683 in Eastham, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. She married (1) 30 April 1705 in Eastham, John Nells born about 1677 in Eastham. She married (2) 9 August 1711 in Eastham, Jeremiah Smith born 18 August 1685 of Eastham Massachusetts.

4. James Smith 3 (Daniel Smith 2, Ralph Smyth 1) born "the last week of April" 1685 in Eastham, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. He married Hannah Rogers. Hannah is the great-granddaughter of Thomas Rogers, The Pilgrim who was the 18 signer of the Mayflower Compact.

5. Nathaniel Smith 3 (Daniel Smith 2, Ralph Smyth 1) born October 1687 in Eastham, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. He married 18 August 1716 in Eastham, Abigail Gross born about 1695 in Eastham, Barnstable County, Massachusetts.

6. Mary Smith 3 (Daniel Smith 2, Ralph Smyth 1) born 8 January 1692/93 in Eastham Barnstable County, Massachusetts; died 16 February 1705 in Eastham.

Daniel died at age 73. Probably buried in this cemetery in a grave with a lost or decayed stone.
