Parker Gideon moved to Graham, Texas with his family in 1908. He ran for Alderman in Graham in 1916. He was a very popular manager of the R.F. Short store for several years. In 1917, Parker Gideon resigned his position with R.F. Short to work for S.B. Street Company for three months. He resigned his postion and took his family to Greenville to be with his mother. Parker Gideon moved back to Graham in 1918 following the death of his mother. Parker Gideon was very popular with the people of Young County.
